You can add a filter to multiple annotations at once. It is not necessary that the annotations be of the same type. To do so:
Select the Annotations of interest in the Browser. Press Space or choose Properties from the Browser context menu to display a Properties dialog.
Click the "plus" icon next to the Filters node in the dialog: . Select the filter you want to create from the menu. Only the filters applicable to all your selected annotations are included in the menu.
Configure the filter as you normally would.
At the end of this process the parameters for each newly created filter in each annotations will be identical.
Note that if the selected annotations already contain filters, the Properties dialog will only show filters common to all selected annotations. This means that in order to be displayed, a filter must be alike in both type and position within the selected annotations. Filters that are not of common type or position within the selected annotations will still be retained, but will not be displayed in the dialog.
