It is not necessary for a simulation to be run before creating an annotation or measurement. You can completely define an annotation or measurement in advance and as data becomes available during the simulation, the annotation or measurement will automatically update with the latest data. By default, annotations and measurements always reference the most recent (i.e., the current) dataset from the solver. This is indicated by the <CURRENT> entry for :
As the simulation runs, the label on the simulation's node in the Browser updates to indicate the dataset to which <CURRENT> resolves:
Here, <CURRENT> is the Iteration 3 dataset.
