5.2.6.2. Meshes

During the simulation, RF3p calculates the solution on a series of meshes. You can view all of these meshes via mesh annotations. In general, the set of meshes will contain the volumetric meshes used for the entire AMR process and the port meshes, where the port meshes show the extracted port plane for wave ports, and the integration paths for lumped ports. If you request far field output, the dataset will also include the meshes described in “Meshes”. It can be useful to look at mesh annotations to ensure the system is numerically represented as you intend. For example, if the value in Curved Geometry Representation > Level is set too high on the simulation setup dialog box Initial Mesher tab, curved surfaces may be poorly represented in the mesh, and you would see this by looking at a mesh annotation.
