4.4. Using the Job Scheduler

A job represents an action on a simulation. Whenever one of the actions in the Execution group of the Simulation ribbon is initiated, one or more jobs is created and scheduled for execution using the job scheduler.

The job scheduler is a background process, it is responsible for running, aborting, suspending and resuming jobs. Multiple sessions of Analyst use the same instance of the job scheduler process (NI AWR_JobScheduler.exe). The job scheduler process is automatically created when a session of Analyst is started.
