A solid or element can enter an error state due to improper parameter values and/or content. When this occurs the related nodes in the Browser display in red. Additionally, the Log Summary typically contains information specific to the error. Conditions that may place a solid or element in an error state include, but are not limited to:
An empty profile sketch in an extrusion, revolution, sweep, or 2D
A profile sketch that does not contain any closed loops in an extrusion, revolution, sweep, or 2D
An extrusion with a direction vector that lies on the plane of the profile sketch
A solid larger or smaller than the working length unit can support (see “Setting the Length Unit” for more information).
You can take the solid out of the error state by correcting the specific condition. If the error is caused by a problem in a sketch you must correct the issue in the sketch and then exit the sketch mode to have the error re-evaluated.
