3.5.1.18. Wire Elliptical Arc

Description

A wire representing an elliptical arc. The direction of the arc is counter clockwise

Parameters

Label – A unique name that identifies the solid. (ISolid/Label)

Coordinate System – The coordinate system in which the solid is defined. Defaults to working coordinate system at time of creation. (ISolid/CoordinateSystem)

Visible - Indicates if the solid is shown in the view. (ISolid/Visible)

Mesh Control Only - Indicates if the solid is used as a tool to control meshing. If True, the portion of the solid that does not overlap the other normal solid is thrown away prior to simulation. Additionally, the material of such a solid is irrelevant so the material parameter is hidden. (ISolid/MeshControlOnly)

Center - [LENGTH] – Center point of the arc defined in the solid’s coordinate system. (IWireEllipticalArc/Center)

Major Axis Point - [LENGTH] - Point of the major axis of the ellipse defined in the solid's coordinate system. This point also defines the major radius. (IWireEllipticalArc/MajorAxisPoint)

Minor Axis Point - [LENGTH] - Point of the minor axis of the ellipse defined in the solid's coordinate system. This point also defines the minor radius and the plane that the arc lies in. (IWireEllipticalArc/MinorAxisPoint)

Start Angle - [PHASE] - Start angle of the arc. Zero is defined to be at the major axis point. (IWireEllipticalArc/StartAngle)

End Angle - [PHASE] - End angle of the arc. (IWireEllipticalArc/EndAngle)

Start - [LENGTH] - Start location of the arc defined in the solid's coordinate system. This is a calculated value based on the center, axes, start angle, and end angle of the arc. It does not take into account any subsequent operations applied to the solid. Read only. (IWireEllipticalArc/Start)

End - [LENGTH] - End location of the arc defined in the solid's coordinate system. This is a calculated value based on the center, axes, start angle, and end angle of the arc. It does not take into account any subsequent operations applied to the solid. Read only. (IWireEllipticalArc/End)

Requirements

Distance from center to major and minor axis points must be non-zero. Start and end angles must be distinct.
