7.1.1. Types

There are three types of variables. Expression variables take mathematical expressions. Choice variables take a choice from a preset list of parameter values. File variables select a file from the set of datafiles. You can create all three variable types from the following dropdown button in the Variables control.

Note that choice and file variables can be used in sweeps, but not in optimizations. For details see “Defining Variables” for further details.
