3.7.1.9. Spline Element

Description

An element representing a B-spline edge that passes through a series of points. It requires two additional points used to control tangent directions at the start and end.

Parameters

Label – A unique name that identifies the element. (IElement/Label)

Visible - If True, element is visible in the sketch. (IElement/Visible)

Construction Only - If True, element is excluded from the covering process and does not become part of the geometry. Such elements are used in constructing other elements. (IElement/Construction)

Start Tangent Point - [LENGTH] – The vector from this point to Point 1 defines the tangent direction at the start of the spline. Defined in the sketch's coordinate system. (IPoint/Location)

Point "n" - [LENGTH] – Location of point[n] of the spline defined in the sketch's coordinate system. (IPoint/Location)

End Tangent Point - [LENGTH] – The vector from the last Point "n" to this point defines the tangent direction at the end of the spline. Defined in the sketch's coordinate system. (IPoint/Location)

Evaluated Locations/Start Tangent Point - [LENGTH] – Post-operation start tangent point of the spline defined in the sketch's coordinate system. This is a calculated value based on the start tangent point of the spline and any subsequent operations applied to the element. Read only.

Evaluated Locations/Point "n" - [LENGTH] – Post-operation location of point[n] of the spline defined in the sketch's coordinate system. This is a calculated value based on the location of point[n] and any subsequent operations applied to the element. Read only.

Evaluated Locations/End Tangent Point - [LENGTH] – Post-operation end tangent point of the spline defined in the sketch's coordinate system. This is a calculated value based on the end tangent point of the spline and any subsequent operations applied to the element. Read only.

Sketch Parameters:

Label – A unique name that identifies the sketch. (ISketch/Label)

Plane – Plane of the solid's coordinate system that the sketch lies in. (ISketch/Plane)

Offset - [LENGTH] – Distance from the origin of the solid's coordinate system to the sketch plane in a direction normal to the chosen sketch plane. (ISketch/PlaneOffset)
