You can import solids from the following file types:
ACIS Files (*.sat/*.sab)
IGES Files (*.igs/*.iges)
STEP Files (*.stp/*.step)
GDSII Files (*.gds/*.gds2)
DXF Files (*.dxf)
VTK Files (*.vtk - Kitware Visualization Toolkit files)
EMI Files (*.emi - AWR software intermediate files)
On the Structure ribbon in the Entity Creation group, click and choose from the drop-down menu. To disable auto healing of the imported geometry, set the AutoHeal parameter to false. Select the file(s) you want to import and then click . For more information on the parameters for importing DXF and GDSII files, see “Parameters for DXF/GDSII File Import”. On the Structure ribbon in the Entity Creation group, click and choose one of the following options from the drop-down menu to import wire solids from points in an ASCII text (*.txt) file:
Select a file name and unit in which the points in the file are defined, then click. The points in the text file are imported as lines, as a polyline, or as a spline, depending on the chosen format.
