After a solid, element, coordinate system or other geometric component of the structure has been created you can interactively set its parameters using an option in the Browser property grid. See “Using the Browser ” for more information. Locate the parameter you want to change in the property grid and click to the right of it and then on the ellipsis " " button. A drop-down menu displays with the following options.
Choose Set Using 1 Snap Point to set the parameter from one point in the Structure view. Choose Set Using 2 Snap Points to set the parameter from two snap points. One snap point is typically used to set position parameters. Two snap points are typically used to set vector and distance parameters. The following are some examples using both options:
Set Using 1 Snap Point: Set the center of a “Circular Cylinder” to the snap point location.
Set Using 1 Snap Point: Set the corner of a “Box” to the snap point location.
Set Using 1 Snap Point: Set the point of a “Polyline Element” to the snap point location.
Set Using 2 Snap Points: Set the height of a “Circular Cylinder” to the distance between the two snap points.
Set Using 2 Snap Points: Set the axial direction of a “Circular Cylinder” to the direction from the first to the second snap point.
