Fillets

The fillet operation rounds edges of a 3D solid or points of a 2D or 1D solid by replacing them with new curved faces or edges.

The following are important limitations in blending of points:

3D Example:

  1. Create a box with the corner at (0, 0, 0) and extent of (1, 1, 0.3).

  2. Pick the edge that starts at (0, 0, 0.3) and ends at (0, 1, 0.3).

  3. Click the Modify Solids button and choose Fillet Edges.

  4. In the Edit Properties dialog box, set Radius to "0.2" and click OK.

2D Example:

  1. Create a Sketched Sheet (2D).

  2. Create a Rectangle with corner at (0, 0) and extent of (1, 1).

  3. On the Sketch ribbon in the Actions group, click the End Sketch button.

  4. On the Structure ribbon in the Entity Modification group, click the Modify Faces button and choose Fillet Points.

  5. Click the point at (1, 1), and press Enter.

  6. In the Edit Properties dialog box, set Radius to "0.2" and click OK.
